So to state the obvious, tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day! I just realized that barely anyone even knows who Saint Patrick is!
*Quick history lesson*
Saint Patrick wasn't even Irish! Saint Patrick was born in Britain to an aristocratic Christian family. Then at the young age of 16, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland to work as a slave tending sheep. After working in Ireland for six years, he has multiple dreams of God telling him to escape Ireland. Saint Patrick did just that and eventually escaped and was reunited with his family. Afterwards, he had a strengthened bond with God and was ordained as a Priest. He then went back to Ireland to convert people into Christianity. The end.
I am very excited for tomorrow because my IED teacher, Ms. G, told us that we could have a party in class in honor of my classmate Shane! Hopefully she hasn't changed her mind! Also, I am about 25% Irish so when I get home my family and I will be celebrating! (I can't wait for the soda bread)
