In case you didn't already know, I am known for being clumsy and having bad things happen to me. For example, last night, what was planned to be a relaxing shower went horribly wrong. Over the weekend, I had been feeling out of sorts and thought that I was getting sick so this shower was my last chance to feel better before a dreadful Monday that awaited me. I am still unsure of what happened but I guess I drifted into thought and forgot I was standing in 100+ degree water with the steam on. Next thing I know, my blinks were becoming slower and slower and I started to get dizzy and nauseous so I immediately shut the water off and stumbled out. As soon as I stepped out of the shower, I fell down and everything went black. I am so glad I was able to do that because who knows what would have happened if I didn't get out of the shower at that moment.
The next thing I remember is waking up on the bathroom floor at 3:00 A.M. feeling like I was just run over by a car. My body ached and my head was pounding. I also think it's safe to say that I hit my head on the tile in the bathroom on my way down because there is now a large bump. I then somehow managed to drag myself to my bed and fell asleep for another three hours. When I woke up, it felt so unreal that I had to check to see if my towel was on the floor in the bathroom to make sure it wasn't some weird nightmare.
I have learned a few things from this terrible experience.
-Humans aren't made to handle fast temperature changes so don't shower in 100+ degrees
-Don't take showers super late at night
-Wear a bubble wrap suit
